Hi, I'm creating a GUI for a Voice Recognition project.
I'd like to know how I can remove the 'CLOSE' button
(that's the little red 'x' in the top corner) from the GUI
title bar I am creating.

not sure if you can 'remove' it, you could try editing the CloseRequestFcn
callback to have '' to disable it

Correct advice as usual. CloseRequestFcn was the key. Even
though I still cannot remove that 'little red x' in the top
corner , at least I can make sure that when clicked on, it
does nothing at all. Thanks for the help...will try to run
into more roadblocks and keep the queries coming :-D
